Here's little Ndukwe one year ago! I had the pleasure of being his newborn photographer and was instantly obsessed; he was such a sweetheart. So, when his mother reached out to set up a cake smash/1 year photoshoot, I was thrilled.
We started the cake smash session with family portraits:
Adding family portraits on to your cake smash is such a great idea- they give you updated family photos and really capture your one-year-olds personality within the family.
After the family photos I took individual photos of the birthday boy.
I love keeping these portraits simple. It keeps the focus on the child and gives their parents timeless portraits to display anywhere in their home. Just look at that sweet smile below:
Finally, we moved on to the cake smash set. Olive greens + the Superbowl were the inspiration for this cake smash, and I love how it turned out!
By the end of the session, he was definitely ready for a nap; but the photos were worth it!
