Colton's newborn session in New Castle County, DE went so smoothly I almost pinched myself to make sure it wasn't a dream!
(Coincidentally Colton's newborn session was the first opportunity I had to use my new backdrop- named "Sweet Dreams"!)
We started with a few detail photos and the family portraits in his nursery; look at those tiny toes!
Next, I moved on to the posed portion of the session. One set that I loved for Colton featured him lying in a crate and holding a tiny little heart. The simplicity of the set keeps the focus on just how precious this little boy is and makes it the perfect photo for wall art.
Something that I always try to include during my newborn sessions is photographs of your little one's on a solid-colored backdrop. While I love themed set-ups, I find that including solid-colored pieces allows for families to have their newborn's photographs up year-round, instead of just during a certain time of year. For Colton I chose a teal-colored set.
How cute is that little pillow and his perfect smirk?!
Another favorite was Colton lying in a bucket.
Finally, I took some images of Colton during his newborn session in some themed set-ups (I told you I love them!) The candy-corn wrap, and a few pumpkins nodded to the amazing fall season Colton was born in.
